Yo Mama Jokes No Funny

Before I start my review of Adam Roos's "Big Book of Yo Mama Jokes," I'd like to tell you a Yo Mama joke I thought of all on my own without any help from Roos.
"Yo Mama is so stupid she thinks Adam Roos's 'Big Book of Yo Mama Jokes' is funny."
That joke cost you $2.99 less than Roos's book and is funnier than about 90% of the jokes in the book. You can thank me later.
Actually, Roos's so called "big" book is a collection of 93 (I counted them) alleged jokes, almost all of which are a description of "Yo Mama" as being incredibly fat, stupid, or ugly. Some of the jokes are juvenile... comparing Yo Mama to a very large object. Some are needlessly cruel ("she can't even tie her shoes"). Some of the "stupid" jokes are recycled blonde jokes that weren't funny the first time around. The two things that all the jokes in this collection have in common are that they are short one-liners and that they are almost invariably not funny for anyone over the age of 10. In addition, many of the jokes are only slightly different versions of each other, so that reading the book essentially feels like reading the same half dozen or so jokes over and over with increasingly less funny results. I chuckled at about three of them, total, and was actively annoyed by quite a few more than that.
The biggest joke about Roos's book is that he charges $2.99 for it (I did get it for free as a promotion, but it generally sells for $2.99). There are many full length humor books on Amazon that are genuinely funny and that sell for less the cost of this unfunny joke book, and even those authors who write similar types of joke collections rarely charge that much for something that contains less than 10 total pages of written material. By putting one joke on each page, Roos is able to pad the book ridiculously, making it appear to the unwary that they're actually getting a substantial amount of content.
For anyone who's still tempted to buy Roos's "Yo Mama Jokes," I'd suggest instead that you turn off your Kindle and spend the next half hour staring at the blank screen. Your experience will be equally funny and cause you far less annoyance than will reading Roos's book, and you'll save yourself $2.99. As for anyone who goes ahead and buys the book, all I can say is that Yo Mama would be very, very ashamed of you if you she found out.

there were so many repetitive jokes in this book I gave up reading it... wasn't worth the time and effort to download it and am having a bit of a time removing it.
