Proofreading would be nice!

I teach special education English to 9th grade students and am always looking for better ways to explain novels. While this book is written in easy to understand language and breaks the chapters down into the most important content, I was very disappointed with the number of spelling errors. Clearly, they ran spell check. Unfortunately, just because a word passes spell check it does not mean it is the correct word in that sentence.
These errors are distracting, and I found myself looking for more mistakes rather than reading for content. I do not usually review books. I unsuccessfully tried to find a way to contact the author of this self-published book to alert him of the errors (that is how much it bothered me) before resorting to alerting other potential buyers of the lack of attention to detail in this book.
If you are able to overlook the errors, this book is probably great for a student who didn't read Of Mice and Men and is going to be quizzed on the material.
