Not worth your time or money

This is a classic cut and paste and not a very good one at that. When the sources referenced are Darwin Porter and Charlotte Chandler and William Mann, you know you are in for a crock of crap.
Porter puts out swill that includes "conversations" which he invents and puts in the mouths of the subjects in addition to inventing situations that never occurred. Chandler is infamous for books about dead people which she claims are the result of "secret" interviews she did with them prior to their having died. Of course she has no written notes of tapes of the interviews to back up her claims. She doesn't even manage to make the "interviews" sound like anything that would come from the lips of the subject. And Mann wrote an atrocious book about Hepburn filled with assumptions, presumption, and surmise about her, her family, friends and lovers and palmed it off on the public as being the "real" story of Hepburn's life.
This book grabs garbage from those books and pastes it together with photos that have been seen everywhere. This writer can't even get Hepburn's height correct -- he lists her height at 6 feet. Maybe in his small brain she appeared that tall, but Hepburn was no where near six feet tall at any point in her life.
Don't spend your money or time on this waste of both. If you want to read about Hepburn, read her own memoir "Me" and Garson Kanin's "Hepburn and Tracy" and Scott Berg's "Kate Remembered" which taken together will give you a much more rounded view of Hepburn. And if you want to really enjoy Hepburn -- buy the videos of her interviews with Dick Cavett. They are absolutely worth the time and money.

Not too much detail

While there was some details about Katherine's early life I thought there would be more. Also details of her later life were not detailed enough. Have read other books about Hepburn that were much, much better.
