About the Author
Wilford I. Summers is an electrical consultant and former Executive Director of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors.
Frederic P. Hartwell a working electrician, is President of Hartwell Electrical Services, Inc. He has been certified by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors as a Certified Master Electrical Inspector. Mr. Hartwell is the senior member of NEC CMP 9. He is co-author of McGraw Hill's National Electrical Code Handbook, 27th Edition.

it's okay but not necessary for experienced electricians

I bought this solely for taking the Masters exam because I was told there is questions on the exam from this book as well as the NEC. This book is difficult to navigate, more so than the NEC, I did find that the questions that are on the Maters exam ,that are in this book, you should and probably already know If you're an experienced electrician. The trick to getting around in it is the index. It does have a ton of useful information in it and it's cool to have around as an electrician but if you're buying this as an electrical installation manual please don't and seek proper training.

I purchased this book as a master electrician reference book. This book is unorganized, outdated, and basically useless. It has a terrible index. A waste of money. Do yourself a favor and get the Mike Holt Books...
